George Beer

This house beer was originally intended as an end-of-year gift for the Rubio family members. Due to its success, this was also used as a house beer to spoil visitors with a fresh beer during trade fairs and training courses. George is a refreshing light Blond Saison beer with 5.4% alc.vol. Its spicy character provides an intense taste experience, while the subtle bitterness of the hops makes you long for more.

'GEORGE' BRAND

The name of the beer is a tribute to Dr. George Barrell († 2015). Dr. George Barrell began developing the Rubio Monocoat oil. The innovative and vibrant nature of Dr. George Barrell served as inspiration for the beer's appearance and taste. 

Rubio's "mascot" is the lion "The King of Colors". This mascot certainly had to be integrated into the branding and label of the Rubio house beer. For this I made a derived line drawing that combines both the Rubio lion and the hop plant. The result is a refined beer brand that immediately appeals and subtly refers to the parent brand Rubio Monocoat.
